Container Condition Definitions & Buyer Standards

New / One-Trip Containers
Manufactured overseas and loaded with a single cargo shipment into the United States. These offer the cleanest cosmetic appearance, fresh paint, minimal wear, and factory-installed lockbox housings.

Cargo-Worthy (CW)
Structural containers that meet international maritime shipping standards under proper inspection. Ideal for export use or heavy structural demands.

Wind & Watertight (WWT)
Inspected used units guaranteed to keep interior contents safe from rain, wind, and pests. Expect surface rust, dents, scratches, and previous patches, but with fully functional door gaskets and solid flooring.

As-Is Containers
Budget units sold in their current state without wind or watertight guarantees, useful for basic containment where weatherproofing isn’t critical.

Homeowners & Landowners
Permanent property storage, vehicle protection, lawn tractor sheds, or personal workshop spaces.

General Contractors & Builders
Reusable tool and material lockups moved from project to project.

Farms & Agricultural Operations
Rodent-resistant feed, seed, fertilizer, and tool containment.

Commercial Facilities & Warehouses
Cost-effective property expansion that avoids permanent construction costs and long-term storage facility rent.

Volume Orders & Custom Sourcing
Need multiple containers for a large-scale project, logistics fleet, or commercial facility? SIX supplies multi-unit orders and coordinates sequenced deliveries directly from our Mobile and New Orleans yards. Contact our sales team for volume-tier pricing and delivery scheduling.

Delivery Method
We deliver using our own specialized tilt-bed trailers, sliding the container onto the ground without requiring a crane or forklift.

Site Clearance
You need roughly 50–60 feet of straight-line clearance for a 20′ container and 100–120 feet for a 40′ container.

Door Direction
Decide in advance whether you want the container doors loaded facing the truck cab (doors come off last) or facing the rear (doors come off first).

Surface Foundation
Place units on firm, level ground—such as packed gravel, concrete, asphalt, or treated wood blocks to keep the container level.
